Art Highlights — Fall 2016

By Chiara Harrison Lambe

Vassar College’s Palmer Gallery is hosting a solo show of photographer, journalist, and Vassar alumna Amy Kaslow. For the past 30 years, Kaslow has traveled the world with her camera to capture the reverberations of war on survivors. The exhibition, “Victims, Perpetrators, Eyewitnesses and Survivors: Life after War”, features over 25 works that chronicle, among other tragedies, the aftermath of ethnic strife in the Balkans, the war between Iran and Iraq, the Israeli-alestinian conflict, and the Rwandan genocide. The work is on view from October 24 through November 18; the opening reception, Thursday, October 27, at 5pm. Palmer Gallery, 124 Raymond Ave., 711, Poughkeepsie.
